![]() Since I bought it last Fall, I have not done much with it. I tuned it up with standard replacement spark plug wires and Bosch Platinum plugs. I want it to run nice in stock form before any upgrades are done...kind of a nice base to start from. I bought a new EGR valve which helped the idle nicely. I am about to add a new Idle Air Control valve to try and stop the one last stumble the engine has upon starting for the first time each morning. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~IAC valve installed Tuesday Feb. 10th...stumble has been eliminated!~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~As of April 17th, I have replaced the heater core and have added a completely new AC system. Actually, the guys at Midlands Technical College did the work...they needed cars to teach with and at the minimal price they charge, why not get the harder stuff done!~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I have decided to get started on upgrading the engine. Heading the transformation will be Charlie Potter of CPR Racing in West Columbia, South Carolina. Anyone who has followed the Mustang Shootout races through Fun Ford Weekends and others, knows Charlie and what he can do to a Ford. Using Trick Flow components, such as aluminum heads, intake, and cam, I look forward to waking up the 302. |
