I installed a Racer's Choice Mac Short Throw shifter a couple of months back. I did not like
the extremely hard to reach handle that came with it, so I
bought a Steeda Tri-Ax Handle and all is well now!
Install was quite easy. After removing the shift knob on the factory shifter, pull up the shifter boot plate (snaps in),
and remove the four bolts holding the shifter base to the tranny. I notched out a little bit of surrounding plastic to better get at the heads.
After cleaning the silicone sealant remaining from the factory shifter, I applied new sealant to the new shifter base, then put in place and secured the bolts.
Over and done for a awesome new feel!
